We photograph your art piece for printing, reproduction or archive
I have written a previous article explaining what we need to do to ensure perfect colors, and light spread (no hot spots), and reduce or eliminate unwanted reflections.
The link to the article is here.
This is the second time I have photographed Shae Raelle’s paintings and she allowed me to write this article and show a bit of what we have done.
Shae is a young and very talented artist. I would not be surprised if, in a few years, we could see her work winning competitions and on display in large galleries.
In addition to a technically near-perfect capture and color reproduction, I think having the artist in the studio and discussing with them any area that might need some extra attention is a great advantage. It may be a string of cat hair that has become part of the painting that we may need to remove or how are the reflections and amount of texture of the brush strokes.
We inspect the images on a large calibrated and wide-gammut monitor. It shows very accurately the colours and shadow details.
I would like to say thanks to Shae for bringing her work to me again.
Search for her name (Shae Raelle or “raellescape.com.au” ) and you will be able to see and purchase some of her current work.
